Amber Rose Pokes Fun at Herself With Mariah Carey Comparison

While some laugh at Amber’s lighthearted joke that labels herself a ‘h**,’ some other take issue with the model describing her and the singer as ‘bright skinned multiracial.’

AceShowbizAmber Rose knows how to entertain her fans by not taking herself seriously. The music video vixen has jokingly trolled herself by comparing herself to Mariah Carey, following their recent meeting at the singer’s residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

The 36-year-old star had a chance to take a picture with the “Always Be My Baby” songstress after the show on Wednesday night, February 25. She then proudly shared it on her Instagram page along with the caption that poked fun at her talent or lack thereof, based on her own opinion.

“When you’re both light skinned, bright skinned multiracial goddesses but one is talented and the other one is a h**,” she said of her reputation compared to that of Mariah’s. She added, “@mariahcarey Love you MiMi! Last night was Amazing!”

Many of her followers got the joke and loved her sense of humor, with one writing, “The caption tho, literally love you.” Another raved about the former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant, “your so silly and so very talented.”

“I respect real..and that’s keeping it real…,” another commented on her caption, while someone else praised her, “just the fact that your yourself and different, you are awesome.”

Some people, however, took issue with Amber’s description of her and Mariah as “bright skinned multiracial.” One disputed her claim, “You mean both are white right.” Another disagreeing user wrote, “Wtf is multi racial.”

“The colorism,” an offended user commented. Someone else weighed in, “I love you but the commentary about yalls complexion was unnecessary and ignorant,” while another claimed, “This caption isn’t gonna sit well with some people.”

Amber has not responded to the criticism about her caption. The former wife of Wiz Khalifa indeed has multiracial background, with her father being of Irish and Italian descent and her mother of Cape Verdean African and maternal Scottish descent from Ayrshire.
