Beth Chapman Reveals What Helps Her Through ‘Toughest Battle’ With Cancer

AceShowbiz -Despite putting on a strong face, Beth Chapman has admitted that going through a second round of battle with cancer is hard. “Fighting cancer is the toughest battle I’ve ever been in,” the reality TV star said in a statement released on Monday, April 29 via radio station Q105.

Remaining positive, the 51-year-old revealed what has kept her strong so far. “But my faith in God and the love of my family is helping me through,” she shared, crediting her close-knit family and her strong religious background.

Beth is going to open up about her journey dealing with the illness during two Mother’s Day services at The Source Church in Bradenton, Florida, on Sunday, May 12. She said of the chance to share her story, “I am so honored to have been asked by Pastors Ralph and Joanne to share my story with their congregation, especially on Mother’s Day.”

Beth learned her throat cancer has returned and spread to her lungs in November 2018. She began chemotherapy in December, but her husband Dog the Bounty Hunter a.k.a. Duane Chapman revealed earlier this month that they were not turning to “conventional treatment” because “they don’t work.”

He expressed his frustration, “There’s nothing, they’ve got nothing. They’ve got a bill to send you. It’s a multi-trillion dollar industry, cancer, and they lie to you. Watch, some day they’re going to get sentenced. It’s criminal what they do.”

Dog revealed that one day Beth talked about death. “The other day she said to me, ‘I’m not sure, but I could be dying,’ ” he tearfully recalled in an interview with But he added, “I’m not going to let her die.”

Beth was hospitalized again on April 6 after experiencing serious breathing difficulties in Hawaii. “Beth was hospitalized Saturday due to an accumulation of fluid in her lungs,” her rep explained at the time. “Doctors performed an emergency procedure to alleviate pressure that had built up. She is now at home resting with her husband. She and Dog are so grateful for the thoughts and prayers from their fans. Keep them coming.”

Several days later, she gave an update on her condition by sharing a black-and-white picture from her fun dinner with her friend at Haleiwa Joe’s in Hawaii. She was all smiles while hugging her pal Mary Carey’s young daughter.
