Country star Blake Shelton’s 2018 Hallmark Christmas film, Time for Me to Come Home for Christmas, is getting a sequel this year!
Dubbed Time for You to Come Home for Christmas, the film stars actress and reality TV host Allison Sweeney and “Agents of SHIELD” actor Lucas Bryan in the lead roles.
The original film, which starred Josh Henderson and Megan Park, was inspired by Shelton’s 2012 song of the same name, which appeared on his album Cheers, It’s Christmas.
The film follows “Katherine (Sweeney) and her son Will returning to her Virginia hometown for Christmas,” the description published by Entertainment Weekly reads.
“On the train there, the mother and son meet Jack (Bryant), a veteran on a journey of his own, and after learning that they’re both headed to the same place, the two get to know each other while they volunteer for a local Christmas dance that raises money for military families,” the description continues. “However, Katherine is struggling to move past her husband’s death, and Jack has his own reasons for being in town. As the holiday nears, though, the two find a connection.”
Made exclusively for TV, the film is set to premiere on Friday, December 6 on the Hallmark channel.
