Broke Katie Price slept on the floor with no heating as mucky mansion fell apart

Katie Price was forced to sleep on a mattress on the floor with no heating as her mucky mansion fell apart.

The former glamour girl, 41, has struggled to keep up with repairs on her house in West Sussex in recent years.

She recently went ahead with plans to renovate the building, but it left her with no where to sleep.

Katie ended up living in the annexe while builders worked on the main house.

Former caretaker Charlie Farthing claims the building was always cold as there was no heating and Katie's disabled son Harvey smashed many of the windows.

Charlie said the damaged panes were not replaced and the wind gusted through the house.

He also said the house was filthy and covered in dog poo, while the living areas were stacked high with dirty plates and boxes of rotting Chinese takeaway dinners.

Charlie, who worked for Katie from September 2019 until last month, told The Sun Online: "Sometimes the kids would sleep with her [on the mattress on the floor], sometimes they’d sleep on her sofas.

"There was always electricity and water, but the heating didn’t work so the place was freezing.

"It was so cold as Harvey smashed all the windows and they didn’t get repaired.”

He also claimed Katie's cat weed all over the house and the floors were covered in dog poo which was rarely ever picked up.

Charlie also said cleaning was an issue and the house was regularly stacked up with dirty crockery and takeawy boxes.

He added: "The house was a state, the kitchen area [especially] we were always cleaning, piles of plates with Chinese mess all over it. Rubbish everywhere."

Katie is said to have recently moved back into the main house after the repair work was finished.

Mirror Online has contacted Katie's representative for comment.
