BTS are giving their devoted fans the chance to follow their everyday lives like never before with their brand new BTS WORLD mobile game, which promises to offer the ARMY a ‘personal experience’.
Jin, Suga, V, J-Hope, RM, Jungkook and Jimin have collaborated with Netmarble to release their first ever mobile app, which allows fans to become talent managers for each member of the band.
That’s right ARMY, it’s down to you to choose what the boys eat, which dance classes to take and maybe even drop them a cheeky text message to check that they’ve arrived for rehearsals in time.
Basically, you can keep them on as tight a leash as you want.
Metro.co.uk had the pleasure of previewing the mobile game a little early and, rest assured, it’ll keep you entertained for hours with 10,000 brand new photos of BTS to sift through and countless options as you move through the game.
It was super fun giving Jin a wardrobe makeover and even a brand new hair colour – whether you love him in bright orange or pastel blue, the choice is yours.
Teasing what fans can expect from the app, Netmarble spokesperson Chastity Irizarry told us exclusively: ‘You get to dive a little deeper into their personalities, they’re really silly and fun and play off each other.
‘It’s going to be really fun for people to unpack as they go through the game, really getting to see a new side of them.’
BTS World presents the band as newbies to the music industry before they got their big global break.
Although it’s somewhat a fictional story, it is inspired by the real BTS experience of trying to find their feet in the music biz.
Chastity said: ‘Since you are going back in time as part of their main story for their debut, how they became a band and things like that. It’s inspired by the struggles they did have as a group when they first got started. It’s a fun way to get to know the band.
‘It’s more of a personal experience seeing as you’re the only talent manager.’
Ooh, the power.
While we don’t want to literally give the whole game away, there is one seriously cool chapter that you should keep an eye out for.
Chastity revealed: ‘Through their careers, they’ve been asked if they weren’t BTS or performers, what could they see themselves doing.
‘One said a farmer, one said a literary student.’
So, guess what.
You’ll get to see the boys live out their farming and literary dreams in a series of videos that will be a must watch.
Whether they want to return to their superstar lives as members of BTS is something you’ll have to find out on your own.
Chastity added: ‘It’s meant to be a linear story so you’ll always end up back to where you’re supposed to be, it’s just how you get there, you can change.’
BTS WORLD features an OST with songs like Dream Glow and Brand New Day featuring Zara Larsson. The mobile game will be available to download worldwide on 25 June.
