Davina McCall has praised her ex-husband Matthew Robertson for being a “support” to the family since their split, but admits being a single mum can be “full on”.
Chatting about finding her “new normal” after 17 years of married life, Davina says she is more “at peace” with herself, adding: “My 50s are a banger of a decade!”
The couple split in 2017, and Davina says of raising their three children: “Matthew is quite hands-on, so I have support from him. We share the school runs in the morning, which is really nice.
“I won’t deny it feels quite full on when I’m on my own though.”
Davina, now reportedly dating her hairdresser Michael Douglas, says life as a single parent is easier now youngest daughter Tilly is almost 16.
“I can go out and leave her and Chester at home for the evening, which has made quite a difference.”
Davina, 51, admits she considered going under the knife, telling Good Housekeeping: “My boobs are going down, my bum is going down… I’d think, ‘What would I look like if I had something done?’
“But I’ve decided that ageing is okay.”
