Dermot O’Leary revealed that he is "very excited" about wife Dee Koppang’s pregnancy, with the married couple set to become parents for the first time.
Speaking to OK! on the red carpet at the BAFTAs, The X Factor host Dermot said he is very excited about the birth of their first child and revealed they made the announcement after they attended a party where Dee could no longer hide her exciting news.
The 46 year old said: “We’re not really big talkers about things like this but we went to a party yesterday and…” as Dee added: “I couldn’t hide it any more!”
Popular TV presenter Dermot shared the happy news that he is set to become a dad on social media on Saturday as he revealed his baby is “coming soon”.
He and Dee shared a snap of a floral wreath with a message in the middle, reading: “Koppang O'Leary productions. ‘New Arrival’ Coming Soon.”
Dermot wrote alongside the snap: “We're pleased to announce that we're expecting a little Koppang O'Leary…”

The news of Dermot and Norwegian TV producer Dee’s happy news was met with congratulations from fans and fellow celebs.
Holly Willoughby wrote: “This is just such wonderful news… love you both.”
This Morning star Ruth Langsford added: “How wonderful! Congrats both", while Ronan Keating added: “Congrats brother.”
Davina McCall wrote: “Oh my god Dermott!!!! That’s amazing news!!!! Please give @deekoppang a huge gentle hug from me and my fam x”.
The child will be the first for Dee and Dermot, who tied the knot in 2012.
Dermot previously opened up on wanting to have children, saying in 2015 that he wanted to start a family with Dee.

“I definitely want kids, but I've got a very busy wife with a very busy life,” he told Fabulous magazine.
“It's not fair for me to say, ‘I want kids now.’ I do want kids with my wife, but I want them when we both think it's the right thing to happen,” he added.
He also opened up on the key to a happy marriage after celebrating his seventh wedding anniversary with Dee.
He said: “It's a work in progress, isn't it?
“The key for me is giving each other space, not giving each other a hard time and actually having fun together. And we do.”
