Country signers Dolly Parton and Miranda Lambert have teamed up to re-record Parton’s 1967 hit song “Dumb Blonde” for new Netflix film Dumplin’.
The hit track was the lead single off Parton’s debut album Hello, I’m Dolly. “This dumb blonde ain’t nobody’s fool,” sing Dolly Parton and Miranda Lambert.
“The #DUMPLIN’ soundtrack is finally here and I’m feeling so blessed that so many talented, hard-working folks came together to bring this project to life. Y’all go listen and download and keep your eyes peeled for the film coming in just a few days!” Parton tweeted.
Dumplin’ is an upcoming American musical comedy film directed by Anne Fletcher and written by Kristin Hahn. Jennifer Aniston plays Rosie Dickson, a former beauty pageant queen whose plus-size daughter, Willowdean, played by Danielle Macdonald, signs up for a beauty contest amid a struggle with body image and self-esteem. It is scheduled to be released on December 7, 2018, by Netflix.
