Emma Willis, 44, has sat down on the When No One’s Watching podcast, hosted by her husband Matt Willis and pal Matt Richardson, to discuss how she has to make sure everyone is “ok”. The Voice Kids star would even like to have a “panic room” installed in her house to help ease her worrying.
I’m a bit of a control freak
Matt Richardson began by asking: “Do you enjoy making sure everything is ok Emma? Is this a thing you like?”
The former fashion model answered: “Well I think I’m a bit of a control freak, so there’s part of me that does enjoy it, knowing that my ticklist is completed.
“But then part of me would love not to come downstairs five times when I have already put the alarm on.”
The Xtra Factor host questioned: “When you finish it all, do you feel satisfied?”
She replied: “Well, as satisfied as I can, you know the safety thing doesn’t stop when I go to bed because every time I wake up, I check the children are ok.”
Emma’s husband Matt interjected: “I’m going to sound a terrible person, but every time I sleep, I sleep through till the morning. But Emma will get up in the night three to four times I’d say.”
Matt Richardson asked: “Solely to check on the children?”
Emma continued: “Well I would wake up anyway and I’ll check on them, and then I’ll probably need a couple of wees. So I’ll check on them again every time I wee.”
Busted singer Matt then made the revelation that his wife would love “nothing more” than to have a panic room installed in their house.
She said excitedly: “Oh my God, I would love a panic room!”
Matt and Emma dated for three years before marrying in 2008.
In 2018, the couple decided to renew their vows, as they returned once more to Rushton Hall where they originally wed.

One attendee told The Sun at the time: “It was a wonderful day, fun of love and celebration.
“There was a cheeky screen to watch the England versus Sweden World Cup game.”
Matt wrote on Instagram that he felt like the “luckiest guy in the world” getting to marry Emma twice.
He continued:” I get to spend the rest of my life with this kind beautiful powerful woman.
“She is the most amazing wife and mother and I could not be more proud to be her husband.
“Thank you for the best years of my life…”
The couple have since become parents to three children, Isabelle, Ace and Trixie.
