“Zoey 101,” the Nickelodeon show starring Jamie Lynn Spears that ran from 2005 to 2008, could be returning to television. According to TMZ, Britney Spears’ younger sister is in talks with the network to reprise her iconic teen role.
The reboot would be set 10 years after the cast’s adventures at the PCA boarding school in Southern California, with Jamie Lynn’s character Zoey now a mom, according to TMZ.
Jamie Lynn, 28, has stayed busy since wrapping “Zoey 101.” After revealing she was pregnant at age 16, she gave birth to her first child with former fiancé Casey Aldridge weeks after the show’s finale. In addition to now being the mom of two kids, she signed on for Netflix’s upcoming “Sweet Magnolias” series.
This isn’t the first time a “Zoey 101” revival rumor has spread. On September 18, 2015, on the 10th anniversary of the show’s “Time Capsule” episode, executive producer Dan Schneider posted a video teasing the continuation of Zoey’s relationship with love interest Chase, which tellingly ends, “To be continued … ?”
