Megan Barton-Hanson slams body-shaming troll who trashed relationship with Wes

Love Island star Megan Barton-Hanson has hit back at a body-shaming troll who took the 24-year-old model to task about why Wes Nelson ditched her during his run to the final of Dancing On Ice.

Megan is not stranger to being hated upon by social media users but it is only now and then that they prick her thick skin enough to warrant a response.

This time though, it has taken a lengthy tirade from a fan of Wes to spark Megan into life, as they suggested that it was her ‘weight gain’ that led to the Dancing On Ice runner-up to seek a life away from her.

Megan has found herself trying to justify being apart from Wes, after they grew apart as he immersed himself into skating practice with professional Vanessa Bauer.

There had been rumours abound that Wes was going to hook up with the skater, especially as Megan believed that Vanessa’s dumping of her boyfriend ahead of the Dancing On Ice live shows would give the opportunity for romance to blossom.

After sharing the tirade on her Instagram story, Megan took her troll to task, ending with her urging them to get back to their love of veganism and "documenting every meal" they eat.

Megan didn’t hold back with her disgust and posted a reply to them on her Instagram story, for her 1.9 million followers to read.

She wrote: "Ewww literally shocked! So she’s shamed me for gaining weight, for wearing too much makeup and having an opinion on a relationship she wasn’t even in.

"Mate! As if she thinks she’s that important. Get back to documenting every vegan meal."

If this was a sell to convert Megan to veganism, then it is looking doomed to failure but there may be some home truths in what was said, to have sparked the reply.
