Megan McKenna shocks fans as star reveals she was in The Inbetweeners at the age of just 16

Megan McKenna has left fans in shock as she revealed she starred in The Inbetweeners back in 2009, which would have made her 16 at the time.

The 27 year old, who recently released a powerful song called FightCovid19 amid the the pandemic, took to her Instagram Stories to make the revelation to her 2.4million followers.

The TV personality first shared a clip of herself watching the iconic show before sharing a promotional photo of the series for it's second season.

She wrote: "Fun fact." before circling herself standing next to Simon Bird, who was played Will McKenzie, as she added: "That's me."

The brunette beauty, who recently celebrated her sister's 21st birthday by turning her garden into a wonderland, proceeded to zoom in on her face as she added: "Hehe".

The actress then shared a short clip of the season trailer, which sees her turning around to watch Jay Cartwright, played by James Buckley, walk by.

She wrote over it: "My 1 second clip on the advert," alongside a laughing emoji.

Speaking to her followers, Megan flipped the camera to show her with a bunny filter as she said: "Oh I do love a throwback. Why was I so cute back in the day? What happened?

The former TOWIE star continued by announcing that she also took part several Harry Potter films as she said: "Another fun fact is I was actually in two of the Harry Potter movies as an extra but I was also a quidditch player for the Gryffindor tryouts, so I had a double and everything.

"I got to go to the set and look at the green screen and we got to go to the quidditch ground."

Megan explained that all her acting gigs from her teenage years were a part of her education as she attended a theatre school, where she could develop her skills as an actress and singer.

"It was part of my full-time schooling, because I obviously went to theatre school and we all had to study there and go off to set and film. It was just such an amazing experience," she said.

"Another fun fact is I did a Hannah Montana advert on the Disney Channel, and one for the Cheetah Girls, too. I literally had the best time at school – anyone who wants to go to theatre school I highly recommend."

The reality star ended her nostalgic rant by adding: "I was literally in my element, you know. You're going to auditions, you're doing what you love every single day. You're singing, you're dancing, you're acting.

"Honestly, it's the best time of my life."
