T.I. donated more than 1,000 turkeys to families in Atlanta, marking the 15th annual edition of his Harris Community Works Thanksgiving Giveaway.
The event, held at the Jackson Memorial Baptist Church in West Atlanta, was organized by the rapper’s family foundation Harris Community Works to serve “families and seniors in need.”
“We have over 1,500 people from various neighborhoods, surrounding this community. From the center hill community, H.E. Holmes, Adamsville, and Carol and Collier Heights have all joined us,” said Atlanta City Council member Andrea Boone, who partnered with T.I. for the endeavor.
“It’s just working together, coming together and making this a big event,” said T.I.’s mother, Violeta Morgan.
T.I. shared a video of the event on Instagram with a caption, “15 yrs straight??. Gotta thank @andreaboonenow @majorgirl @keishabottoms @vimommati @bankheadseafood @akooclothing #HarrisCommunityWorks & everyone else who donated their time, energy,& resources to make this happen.
