Mum creates cheap activity bag full of ideas to fight kids’ boredom during coronavirus self-isolation period

A CLEVER thinking mum has come up with a genius way to help keep the kids occupied during their time in quarantine – and for the most part it cost absolutely nothing.

Now that parents are now having to homeschool their children amid the coronavirus crisis, many are desperate to find ways to keep them from misbehaving so there's little wonder why other mums love the idea.

The crafty mum complied a list of fun activities to do around the house and after writing them all on a piece of cardboard she cut them up and placed them all inside a small bag.

The idea is for each child to pull out a fun activity each day, in which the whole family can be a part of.

Among the activities included are some arts and crafts projects including painting, making a crown or making sock puppets as well as some other fun activities that involve baking cookies or having a tea party.

Sharing her brilliant idea with other desperate parents on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, the mum wrote: "Cheap idea to keep them busy while they are off. Pick one each day.The simple things we already do but more fun and most of these thing cost nothing or very little to do."

And it's true – most of the activities included in the fun game are ones that many kids would enjoy on a regular basis, but by switching things up and making it more exciting for the little ones, keeping them entertained and busy should come with ease.

And it seems other parents agree with many eager to give it a go themselves.

Many simply tagged their other half, or fellow parents, sharing the great idea with their friends, while it seemed many parents already used teh trick and they loved it.

One parent said: " We've done this, I've made ones for every game with have in the house and a seperate pot for activities. I'm midway though making one for the educational stuff so they have some control over what we do there too.
