Shopping during the coronavirus pandemic has become trickier and trickier.

From queuing up outside to sanitising your trolley, there are lots of safety precautions in place.

One common habit which is an absolute no-no is licking your fingers to open shopping bags.

You know, when the fiddly plastic just won’t separate and the cashier is launching your food at you?

Well, one Aldi shopper has shared her nifty trick which solves the problem quickly without depositing dirty fingers in your mouth.

It's much more hygienic and can possibly prevent you from picking up nasty bacteria and viruses like Covid-19, flu and a cold.

Posting in a popular Facebook group, the woman wrote: “If anyone struggles to open the produce bags like me, I’ve found a solution.

"On your way in, tie one of the sanitiser wipes to your trolley to moisten your fingertips!

“It’s so much easier than the 10 minute workout it usually takes to get them open."

Fellow shoppers said that the hack was a “game changer”.

And, the post has racked up over 2,500 likes and several hundred comments, reports Manchester Evening News.

One person replied: "Been doing this for a while now, works a treat, then after you've unloaded goods into car I use it to wipe steering wheel and hands and mobile phone and dispose of used wipe at home."

“Omggggg, thank you, Iwas seriously struggling,” added another.

While a third wrote: “This is an excellent idea."
