Lil’ Jon’s Rap With Kool-Aid Man Is the Gift You Didn’t Know You Needed

Lil Jon is back in a big way. The rapper, who hasn’t released a new studio album since 2010’s Crunk Rock, joined forces with the Kool-Aid Man – the fictional pitcher-shaped character who smashes through walls – to release a holiday single called “All I Really Want for Christmas,” and it’s as amazing as one would expect.

The Kool-Aid Twitter account shared the track (accompanied by an equally entertaining music video) on Monday, December 17, and it was instantly met with a barrage of tweets that ranged from genuinely impressed to slightly confused. “Best Christmas Song of the year! Hands down!” one Twitter user wrote. Added another: “This is what we’ve come to now. Lil Jon Kool-Aid commercials.”

In the video, the Grammy winner and the character dance and rap together at their Kool-Aid-themed holiday soiree, which also features Kool-Aid-centric gifts (what else?) and Santa DJ’ing. At one point, Lil Jon, 47, boldly declares his preference for the bright red beverage by pouring a pitcher of egg nog into the sink before replenishing a Kool-Aid drink tower.

The song is littered with several of Lil Jon’s trademark “Yeahs,” and the Kool-Aid Man even gets in on the rap too, but let’s just say it’s hard to sing when you’re a giant glass pitcher with rudimentary eyes, nose and a mouth.

“I’ve recorded with a lotta artists in my time, but never did I think I would collab with Kool-Aid Man,” Lil Jon said in a press release, according to Delish. “We both bring the fun anywhere we go.”
