Rumours of a royal fall-out between the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been circulating for months, with countless reports of upsetting moments and rows.
But as their lives move further and further apart, with the Sussexes swapping London for Windsor and the couples' charity the Royal Foundation splitting, there are now reports that things are improving.
Kate and Meghan attended Wimbledon together and the brothers went head to head in a charity polo match, their joint engagements in about a year.
A royal source has told People that the two women in particular have been getting on much better since Baby Archie was born.
They said: "There is a sense of [Meghan and Kate's] relationship strengthening.
"They’re each a little more relaxed. They have more in common now."
And a sweet moment during their trip to Wimbledon to watch the Women's Final might have proved this to be the case.
Meghan's pal Serena Williams had her eye set on the prize but suffered a shocking defeat in the very short match.
The new mum couldn't hide her disappointment and at one point her sister-in-law Kate put her hand on her back to comfort her.
An observer at the game said the women were "genuine and sweet together".
They added: "Kate put her hand out and rubbed Meghan’s back to console her."
Kate's sister Pippa joined they for the match on Saturday, and while Meghan left soon after the match the Middleton sisters stayed to watch the Men's Double Final.
Body language expert Judi James agrees with the insider's thoughts .
She told Mirror Online: "There are echoes of their first Wimbledon together in their body language here, back when there were no rumours about rifts between Kate and Meghan, suggesting that if there has been any coldness, things could just be back on a stronger footing again.
