    ZZ STOP

Zinedine Zidane is facing a 'total breakdown' with the Real Madrid dressing room, reports claim.

Following last night's 2-0 defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk the Frenchman is believed to have just four games left to save his job, with Mauricio Pochettino waiting in the wings.

And according to Sport, he will have to do so despite having cooled on eight members of his first-team squad.

The report claims that Zidane, 48, has 'lost faith' in Chelsea icon Eden Hazard, 29, who will miss the remainder of 2020 after rupturing his hamstring in the 2-1 defeat to Alaves at the weekend.

    BLUE-KING GOOD

Chelsea will virtually guarantee they qualify in top spot from Champions League Group E if they win at Sevilla tonight.

The Blues are level on points with the Spanish side but their superior goal difference will make it highly unlikely they can be caught if they take all three points in Spain later.

Chelsea have ten points and a +8 goal difference from four games.

The game kicks off at 8pm.

    FAN-TASTIC NEWS

Thiago Silva and Kai Havertz have been shortlisted for Uefa's Team of the Year.

The Chelsea duo only arrived at Stamford Bridge in the summer and they are among 50 of Europe's elite stars nominated.

Silva helped Paris Saint Germain reach last season's Champions League final and is the oldest nominee at 36.

Havertz meanwhile was Bayer Leverkusen’s top scorer in 2019/20 with an impressive 18 goals, four of which came in the Europa League as the German side reached the quarter-finals.

Supporters from across Europe voted to whittle the list down.

    LAMP LIGHT

Spanish midfielder Joan Jordan has hailed Frank Lampard as one of his big influences.

He told the Athletic: "I remember watching quite a lot of Lampard when I was growing up, he was a top, top, top player.

"What really sticks is the way he arrived late in the box, that was spectacular. It is something very difficult, that he made look easy. I watched him a lot, many of his games. He finished each season having scored lots of goals.

"I remember Steven Gerrard too, talking about the Premier League.

"He and Lampard were standout players, especially when they got forward, arriving late from the second line.

"I always looked at all the little details I could, from many different players, to become a more complete player myself."
