Mason Greenwood is one of the best finishers at Manchester United, according to ex-Red Devil Louis Saha.
Speaking of the 18-year-old who has netted nine goals this season, Saha said: “Greenwood has been great this season. He is a young player and I want to make sure that he keeps level-headed.
“He needs to keep working hard in training and keep doing what he is doing as currently, he is really impressing people. His finishing is excellent, which to me, is not surprising.
“From what I hear from some of my connections, he is one of the best finishers at the club.”
UNO DOS TRES
Bruno Fernandes is set to be parachuted in to save Manchester United's midfield but he won't be close to the club's top earners.
With the Sporting CP playmaker's transfer fee costing up to £60million, the Red Devils are not set to fork out a massive wage.
A reported £100,00-a-week will be taken home by Fernandes, 25, potentially forming part of a cut-price midfield.
Injured star Scott McTominay banks only ten per cent of that amount while Andreas Pereira is on £30,000-a-week.
Contrast that to the exorbitant figures earned by United's veterans and it is not hard to see why that cannot shift them.
Nemanja Matic earns £120,000-a-week, lagging behind Juan Mata's £160,000-a-week pay packet and level with Brazilian flop Fred.
Man Utd are reportedly in pole position along with Chelsea in the race to sign Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare.
Sky Sports claim the 20-year-old is set to decide between the two clubs before the end of the month.
They claim that the Red Devils and the Blues have held talks with the player.
Arsenal had been linked, but are now not in the running.
The midfielder has failed to score or provide an assist in 18 Ligue 1 games this season.
Chelsea, Man Utd, Spurs and Arsenal target Edinson Cavani is available for £26million this month but Atletico Madrid are leading the chase for the striker.
Cavani has made his intentions for a move to Spain clear, but a deal is yet to be confirmed.
With Diego Simeone's side operating at 100 per cent of their salary cap, Atletico want to sign the striker for just £8million later this month.
However, a deal is yet to be made for Los Rojiblancos as the the reigning Ligue 1 champions are holding out for £26m for the 32-year-old.
Negotiations however, are under way as Atletico CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin and PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi reportedly spent 30 minutes discussing the matter at a meeting in Paris on Tuesday.
PAUL POGBA’S brother says Federico Valverde’s rise won’t stop Man United star's transfer to Real Madrid.
Speaking as a guest on Spanish show El Chiringuito, he said: “No, he can help him, but he can’t compete with him. I don’t think so. Can the two play together? Yes.”
