Just 10 months after their 2019 album release, BTS is giving fans new music.
The Korean pop group is releasing “Map of the Soul: 7” on Feb. 21, according to a press release.
The release says the upcoming album continues the group’s “Map of the Soul” series and will follow the storyline of the previous release, “Map of the Soul: Persona,” which was released in April. Fans can preorder “Map of the Soul: 7” starting Jan. 9.
Despite not receiving any nominations for the 2020 Grammy Awards, the seven-member group has gained global popularity since breaking onto the scene.
Members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook have gained a massive, loyal fanbase, referred to as the Army. Especially active on social media, the Army propelled #7isComing to the No. 2 spot on Twitter trends soon after the album announcement.
In November, BTS took home three wins at the American Music Awards: tour of the year, favorite social artist and favorite duo or group for pop/rock.
They also performed at “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2020” in New York City on Dec. 31.
