Back in 2013, the Crystal Palace winger was attending a darts event at the O2 Arena in London where Irish model O'Sullivan was working as a walk-on girl.
Five years later and the couple, who tend to stay out of the spotlight, are now parents to a baby girl called Aria Valentina Townsend.
O'Sullivan, 29, used to date Leinster's Fergus McFadden but split up when the Wexford-born wag traded Dublin for London.
The model appeared in the 14th series of Big Brother and lasted 58 days before she was voted out by friends and family of housemates.
Not long after she met Townsend who was then playing for Tottenham while working as a darts walk-on girl.
Earlier this year, O'Sullivan spoke passionately about the Professional Darts Corporation's decision to ditch the tradition of glam girls escorting players to the stage.
She said: "I made a very good wage as a walk on girl so for that to be abruptly pulled from the girls, will of course have a knock on effect on their lives.
"I think that the current focus on women and equality led to the final call being made on scrapping walk on girls but ironically it all feels very anti-woman."
But O'Sullivan has hung up her high heels and spends more time on the couch watching Big Brother with Townsend.
She said in 2015: "Andros is a huge Big Brother fan – he loves it. He said one day that if he wasn't doing football he'd love to do the celeb one.
"He forces me to watch it. I did my series two years ago and he has made me watch everything since."
The diary room awaits, Andros.
