The English midfielder did not feature in the Hammers' 3-1 victory over Cardiff on Tuesday due to… pain in his ankle – although not the one injured earlier this season.
Wilshere had missed West Ham's nine Premier League matches due to an ankle injury before making his comeback on Saturday against Newcastle.
The 26-year-old midfielder played five minutes against the Toon Army, assisting in Felipe Anderson's goal sealing the Hammers 3-0 win.
Manuel Pellegrini, however, left Wilshere out of the squad for the Cardiff match explaining he was feeling a pain in his ankle.
He said after the 3-1 victory over the Bluebirds: "Jack has a small pain in his ankle, not the one he injured before.
"If he is not 100 per cent then I was not going to select him."
That came a day after the Chilean labelled Wilshere a "£100million player".
Wilshere moved to London Stadium in the summer in a free transfer after finding himself out of favour at Arsenal taken over by Unai Emery.
