BGT accused of ‘breaking social distancing rules’ by semi-final viewers

Britain's Got Talent bosses have been accused of breaking social distancing guidelines after airing Kevin Quantum's semi-final performance.

The magician and illusionist's act needed participation from the judges and Ant McPartlin.

During his performance, the star seemingly joined fingertips with Amanda Holden and Ant.

Despite being seen at the start of the performance asking the judges to use hand sanitiser, some viewers thought it was in breach of government guidelines.

They highlighted the fact that Amanda also joined fingers with Alesha Dixon as David Walliams reached out to Ashley Banjo and Ant to form an electric circle.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer raged: "#BGT taking p**s out of social distancing! Boring!"

A second hit out: "So much for social distancing! #bgt."

A third moaned: "Hello @BorisJohnson, I’d like to report some people breaking social distancing rules. Just turn on @ITV right now! #BGT."

Meanwhile, a fourth flagged: "Here come the social distancing complaints."

A BGT spokesperson said: "The health, safety and wellbeing of everyone involved in Britain’s Got Talent is our number one priority.

"We operate to comprehensive Covid-19 policies and film in compliance with the law including ensuring personal contact on stage is for the shortest time; hands are sanitised; equipment is disinfected; participants are not face to face and the studio is well ventilated."

During Saturday night's show, BGT fans flooded Twitter to speak about Amanda Holden's choice of outfit.

Ditching her bra, Amanda, 49, turned up the heat – putting her eye-popping assets centre-stage.

Thanks to her dress sporting an off-the-shoulder design and plunging neckline, Amanda barely kept her modesty in check.

Slashed down the centre of gown, the starlet's cleavage was impossible to miss during the prime-time show.

Many viewers tipped the outfit to be at the centre of an Ofcom row.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: "Already predicting the Ofcom complaints regarding Amanda's dress #BGT."

Another added: "Amanda is (almost) exposing her nipples.

"Really hope the Ofcom warriors who are SO keen to protect the sanctity of a 'family show' and uphold morality are on it and currently writing to complain."
