Carla Connor (Alison King) is being crushed by the burden of her own guilt in the wake of the roof collapse in Coronation Street, and when she finally cracks it leads to her own arrest.
She’s left panicking when Wayne tells her he’s finished his report and needs to ask her some more questions at the station where she sticks to her original story. But she shocks Peter (Chris Gascoyne) when she tells him she can’t keep the truth a secret much longer.
And it won’t be much longer thanks to Robert (Tristan Gemmill), as he goads her into dropping her confession very publicly, pointing the finger at her in the middle of Rana’s wake.
As Kate (Faye Brookes) tightly grips Carla’s hand for reassurance, Robert stands up and demands she reveal the truth. As the crowd looks straight at her, the pressure of their angry gaze makes her crumble, and Carla confesses she knew there was a problem but didn’t know the whole thing would cave in.
Roy is appalled by her actions and she realises she’s lost the support of everyone. And just when things seemed like they couldn’t get worse the police arrive and arrest her for Gross Negligence Manslaughter.
Is Carla going to get sent down for her part in Rana’s death? How will the street react to her arrest?
