Naga and Charlie returned to the BBC Breakfast sofa today to take over from Dan Walker and Louise Minchin. There was plenty on the agenda for the two to get through, from the latest numbers in regards to the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic to the resignation of Lee Cain from Downing Street. However, there was still the topic of what the weather would look like heading into the weekend and even beyond. And when Carol discussed a possible “white Christmas”, Naga jumped in.
As the clock approached the 7:15am mark, Carol had just finished one of her weather reports, informing viewers there was more rain on the way for many parts of the UK.
As Carol signed off her report, she said: “Charlie, I’m off to see if it’s going to be a white Christmas, I’ll see you later.”
However, Naga quickly jumped in to collar her co-star for getting so far ahead of herself.
The BBC Breakfast host said: “I thought you didn’t like making predictions?”
Naga continued: “We’re always told do not ask Carol what the temperatures going to be like at Christmas,
“Or whether it’ll snow – and then we get told you’re going to have one of your famous temper tantrums if we do ask you.”
However, Carol saw the funny side of her co-host’s claims before hitting back with a swipe of her own.
“Naga, you have got no shame, girl,” Carol hit back.
“No discretion, I think you mean,” Naga replied, although Carol wasn’t so sure.
The weather reporter let out a suspicious “hmmm,” prompting Naga to chuckle.
Naga even joked: “There’s an email coming from you now, isn’t there?”
Carol and Naga shared one more laugh before Charlie moved on with today’s show.

Several viewers were quick to weigh in with their thoughts on the jokey back and forth.
“Love a ‘carol comedy routine’ #bbcbreakfast,” said one fan on Twitter.
A second echoed: “Love it when @TVNaga01 teases Carol on #BBCBreakfast.”
However, some viewers weren’t best please with how Naga went about things.
“Can someone please tell Naga her jokes are not funny when she’s having a dig (Carol just now) please?” opined another viewer.
“It really makes people cringe and promotes bad type of humour- borderline bullying and public shaming!!!”
The trio of Charlie, Carol and Naga will be back onscreen tomorrow.
BBC Breakfast continues daily at 6am on BBC One.
