CORONATION Street's Carla Connor is set to be arrested by police over the fatal factory collapse, which killed Rana Habeeb.
The factory boss is pictured looking downcast as she brought to the police in a sneak peek shot ahead of this week's upcoming episodes on the ITV soap's Instagram.
Captioning the shot, they said: "Carla confesses all!"
Adding: "Nick has a plan for Underworld, Sinead starts a new venture and Gary's in big trouble…"⠀
The teaser comes after Carla was seen sitting in the street shaking after going awol in upcoming scenes for the ITV soap.
The devastated character is blaming herself for the Underworld factory's roof collapse.
Following the tragic disaster, Carla – played by Alison King – will take centre stage, with Rana's death having a devastating impact on her mental health.
New photos showed the character shivering on the street as she is seemingly comforted by Robert, played by Tristan Gemmill.
The two actors were spotted filming on location, with Carla looking shell-shocked as she hugs her knees to her chest and stares at the ground – clearly struggling to come to terms with what has happened in Weatherfield.
The character has a concerned look on his face as he appears to offer comfort to his foe, who he blames for the break up of his and Michelle's relationship and at one point, Carla can be seen pushing Robert away.
However, there is a chance that Robert's concern is actually the result of a guilty conscience, with the businessman one of the six suspects in the frame for causing the roof collapse.
As well as Carla and Robert, Nick Tilsley, Peter Barlow, Gary Windass, and Seb Frankin could have been involved – and fans are desperately trying to work out who was behind the disaster.
The reason that Carla blames herself for the accident is because she was told that the roof of her company needed replacing and she refused to hold off production on a huge order to fix it.
Meanwhile, Gary and Nick both knew that the roof was unsafe – which might have inspired them to take the opportunity to cause an accident.
