Lacey Turner has been left devastated as she revealed beloved dog has died.
The EastEnders star – who recently welcomed baby daughter Dusty with husband Matt Kay – took to Instagram to share snaps of her ‘best friend’ Rusty, breaking the tragic news to her 283k followers.
Alongside one photo, shared on her story, the Stacey Fowler actress wrote: ‘My handsome boy!! I cannot believe I’m writing this, I am heartbroken but so grateful that I got the pleasure of loving you for 11 whole years.
‘You really were the bestest friend a girl could’ve asked for!
‘The most loyal and kindest dog I ever knew. A gentle giant. A true gentleman.
‘The best fur brother even if only for a short time.’
‘I will tell her how much you loved to lay next to her,’ she captioned an upload of baby daughter Dusty lying alongside the pup.
‘My gorgeous boy I miss you so much already,’ the BBC star continued. ‘Your cuddles were like no other, if I could hold you forever I would! My little family won’t be the same without you.’
‘Thank you for loving me for all those years! I love you always! Sleep tight handsome boy.’
Lacey has had a bittersweet few months, after dog Reggie tragically died back in April.
In a string of photos posted to Instagram, she shared her favourite memories with the late French bulldog, adding: ‘Sleep tight our lovely boy and thank you for being you.’
Amid the heartache, the soap star also had some joy, as she welcomed daughter Dusty with husband Matt, in July.
But the happy couple – who tied the knot in 2017 – explained there was some initial confusion over the unique name they gifted the newborn with.
‘It wasn’t on our original list but we did an internet search for “pretty girls names” and we both said it at the same time,’ she told OK! Magazine.
‘Her middle name is Violet, which I also love. We’ve had mixed reactions, people either think it’s really cool or they don’t really know what to say!’
While her beau added: ‘The only other Dusty I know is Dusty Springfield. We do like Dusty Springfield but she wasn’t named after her!’
