Mel B says she's 'still in shock' after daughter, 19, revealed she 'saw her being attacked by Stephen Belafonte' as she praises her bravery

The Spice Girl's eldest daughter Phoenix Chi revealed memories she had of her mum allegedly being pushed and shoved during her toxic marriage.

Today Mel told fans: "I’m sooo soooo proud of my 19 year old daughter phoenix for being brave enough to speak her truth in her words today in @YOUMagSocial about what she saw, I’m still in shock."

Phoenix says there are “things I can’t forget” after seeing Stephen Belafonte allegedly acting violently during the marriage.

“I was maybe 14 or 15. I was in my bedroom. I could hear them fighting,” she claims in the Mail On Sunday's You magazine.

“My mum came downstairs to the kitchen followed by Stephen.

“I looked through the crack halfway up the stairs – where I could just see the kitchen – to check if everything was OK, which it was, then returned to my room.

“I heard more screaming and her shouting, ‘Stop, get off’, and heard little thumps.

“I went to the stairs again and saw … my mum pushed over the couch.

“I froze, but then I just went back [to her room]. This was my family life.”

She also described being called out of class to go to hospital in 2014 after desperate Mel overdosed.

“I know she was going through hell but I never thought she’d think of leaving us,” she says.

Mel has accused Stephen, her now ex husband, of abusing her and being violent towards her during their marriage – something he denies.

Phoenix is Mel’s eldest daughter with ex husband and back up dancer Jimmy Gulzar.

Stephen has accused Mel of launching a “smear campaign” against him in a bid to protect her reality TV career.

He has denied all the allegations and said her book was "full of lies".
