Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan has dubbed the Love Island 2020 cast as “cretins” ahead of the new series.
The TV presenter questioned why the show was returning to our screens in winter, clearly having missed the memo on the second show being added.
“Can someone explain to me, I thought Love Island was on in the summer…why are these cretins back in the winter?” moaned the host.

Susannah Reid informed the ex-journalist there was a new ‘winter’ Love Island show in 2020 and for the foreseeable future taking place in Cape Town.
Morgan, 54, then revealed his son was in Cape Town at the moment, to which Susannah asked if he would be appearing in the new show.
The presenter quickly shut down those rumours, saying: “He’s not in Love Island. My sons get regularly approached to be in these shows and they have adopted a firm ‘no policy.’”

Later in the chat about the new show with Richard Arnold, he asked "which one is the most stupid" as they discussed the contestants, one of whom boasts the surname Fudge.
And in her bio ahead of the show's air date on Sunday, she made the revelation that she "doesn't even like fudge, provoking even more of a reaction from the disgruntled TV host.
Mocking her voice, he repeated what she said with a high-pitched shrill interpretation of her, reinforcing his disdain for the popular dating show.
The full line-up for Love Island 2020 was confirmed last night as promotional material for the show appeared online.
Just five months after Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea were crowned winners of the show, the programme will return for a winter edition, kicking off on January 12.
The villa will be in Cape Town, South Africa, while Laura Whitmore will replace Caroline Flack as the main presenter.

The new contestants are just as fiery as ever, with many having celebrity pals already. Most notably is Sophie Piper, a medical PA, who is the younger sister of The Saturdays' Rochelle Humes.
Another contestant with a famous link is Paige Turley, 22, who once dated Lewis Capaldi when they were both "about 17 or 18."
