The Chase fans baffled by player who looks like EastEnders’ Ian Beale on show

The Chase viewers were left stunned by a contestant tonight who they dubbed as Ian Beale's "twin".

Tuning in to the ITV show, viewers couldn't help but compare contestant Geoff to the EastEnders legend as some claimed he looked like an "older" version of the character played by Adam Woodyatt.

Taking to the panel against The Chaser Anne Hegerty, he managed to get to the other end and take £5,000 back to his teammates.

But despite his success, it was his appearance which viewers couldn't get over.

Taking to Twitter as they watched, many shared the same view that they think he looks like Ian.

One tweeted from their personal account: "#TheChase Geof Ian Beales dad."

A second said: "If Ian Beale was a character in Hetty Waintropp Investigates it would be Geoff!! #TheChase."

"Ian Beale’s looking rough isn’t he?#TheChase," said one cruel troll.

"Anybody else think Geoff looks like Ian Beale? #TheChase," tweeted another.

It comes after The Chase fans were left in hysterics during yesterday's episode as the team took on Jenny Ryan and many viewers spotted a hilarious coincidence amongst the contestants.

Host Bradley Walsh introduced the team, which compromised of Kathryn, Anne, Jane and Henry, as they were taken on by The Vixen aka Jenny Ryan as their Chaser.

First up was Kathryn, 31, from Mansfield, said she would spend any cash she won on her daughter and would buy her a Wendy house.

Kathryn managed to rack up £5,000, plenty for a Wendy house, and turned to take on The Vixen in a bid to make even more money.

But as the mum turned to her team to ask for their thoughts, viewers of the show took to Twitter to share a funny discovery they made about the contestants.

Many viewers clocked that the three women's names were all the same as Henry VIII wives and of course, they also had a Henry on their team so many viewers joked it was like watching the king play with his wives.

Tudor King Henry famously had six wives: Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Catherine Howard and Catherine Parr.
