The ups and downs of the Royal Family are caught perfectly here as Netflix series The Crown focuses on Princess Margaret’s affair with Roddy Llewellyn.
Helena Bonham Carter, 52, plays grim-faced Margaret while Harry Treadaway, 34, is toyboy Roddy.
This clip shows them stepping from a jet as they return to face the music after a jaunt on the Caribbean island of Mustique in 1976.
Looking happier is Olivia Colman, 44, as Queen Elizabeth, preparing to board a plane.
It’s another majestic performance by Olivia – crowned best actress at the Golden Globes this month for her role as Queen Anne in hit film The Favourite.
Colman previously stated that Queen Elizabeth was the hardest Queen she’s had to play so far, telling the Press Association, "I find the harder is Queen Elizabeth because everyone knows what she looks like, everyone knows what she sounds like, everyone has an opinion on whether the casting is right."
She added: "I want to do it justice and do it well and be respectful and all of those things – and the writing is incredible so that helps."
The star replaces Claire Foy as HRH, while Helena Bonham Carter replaces Vanessa Kirby, and Tobias Menzies comes in for Matt Smith as Prince Philip.
Part three will start from 1964 – covering the early years of our monarch’s time on the throne.
It has been claimed that Bonham Carter even hired a psychic to contact the late Princess Margaret, who died in 2002, before accepting the role.
Filming began last July for the long awaited next series, and series three and four are being shot back-to-back – so it’s unlikely that fans will have to wait long for another installment once the next chapter comes to an end.
