HBO'S The Undoing just keeps getting more and more tense the closer it comes to unveiling the murderer.
Fans could 'barely breathe' after watching this week's cliffhanger which saw Grace Fraser (Nicole Kidman) find the missing murder weapon in her son Henry's violin case.
Grace found the missing sculpture hammer while cleaning Henry's room and it could be the key to solving Elena's murder.
The series begins focusing on married couple Grace and Jonathan Fraser, Hugh Grant who live an idyllic life in New York with their son, Henry.
Their life is turned upside down when a new mother – Elena – at Henry's elite school is found brutally murdered.
It's later revealed that Jonathan was not only having an affair with Elena but fathered a daughter with her.
Jonathan is on trial for Elena's murder and while he claims his innocence, theories have swirled about who her killer may be.
Throughout the series, many fans hypothesised the killer could be Henry, because he saw Elena as a threat to his happy family.
There was not much credible evidence to suggest he was the culprit, until Grace found the missing murder weapon.
Fans described the discovery as "suspicious" with many arguing Henry might be actually just be hiding the hammer to protect the real killer.
"Holy s**t! Grace found the murder weapon in the violin case! But did Henry do it!?" wrote one Twitter user.
Another said: "I was not shocked at the end when the weapon was found with the son!! i had a feeling about him all along!!"
But some thought the discovery was too obvious that Henry did it.
"I knew this boy was the murderer!! I KNEW IT!! (Watch him not be the murderer even though he got the murder weapon LOLOL)," wrote one fan on Twitter.
And some thought Henry was covering up for his dad.
"Grace said Henry worshipped his dad & would do anything for him. Please don't tell me that baby did this to keep his family 2gether!… But he's been going to school. So when is he swapping the weapon for the violin," said a viewer.
As the series draws to a close, fans are desperate to know if another series is on the horizon.
There's good news and bad news for fans of The Undoing.
The good news is that the murder mystery should wrap up by the end of season six – meaning the agonising wait to know who killed Elena will be over.
Now, here comes the bad news. The Undoing has not been confirmed for a second series.
The Undoing was written as a miniseries with a complete ending – based on Jean Hanff Korelitz’s 2014 novel You Should Have Known.
So, although a second series is a possibility, it seems unlikely that it will be airing anytime soon.
