Victoria bosses to ‘sex up’ drama in desperate bid to rescue the show from low ratings

I can reveal producers are introducing new hunk David Burnett to strip off in steamy scenes.

The actor will play footman Joseph, who has a romance with a member of the royal household. Show bosses hope the affair will improve ratings.

The drama’s first series had six million viewers — but just 3.7million saw the second one in 2017.

An ITV source said: “Bosses hope making the show racier will turn its fortunes around.”

Victoria has her sixth child in series three which airs this spring — but Jenna Coleman may soon have to give up the royal role.

Jenna admitted: “She’s starting to look more matronly. There will come a point when no amount of prosthetic make-up or me lowering my voice will be convincing enough.”

Forget the voice, Jenna — it is the ratings that need to change

Tweeny bit sad

FOR some reason, some Inbetweeners fans thought the cast’s big reunion would contain fresh material.

But New Year’s Day special The Inbetweeners: Fwends Reunited, marking ten years of the Channel 4 comedy, saw them watching old clips and being interviewed.

Now a nonsense backlash has upset some of the cast, including James Buckley, who played Jay in the E4 series.

He said: “Feeling pretty hated right now. I’m sorry to anyone who feels let down with last night’s show. I’m upset as it is the fans that made The Inbetweeners a success.”

Ignore this minority, James. It was a perfectly fine look back at a classic show.

LOVE Island’s Samira Mighty has posted on Instagram about her depression.

She wrote: “I went to the doctor’s and my highs are mad high and my lows so low. I have a great family and work. But I struggle with my mental health.”

Arg: I'll get slim

JAMES Argent says he is inspired to lose weight in 2019 after girlfriend Gemma Collins shed two stone training for the new series of Dancing on Ice which starts on Sunday.

James’s New Year resolution is to focus on his fitness after fellow Towie star Gemma showed him the way.

He said: “I need to get back in the gym. I’m desperate to get back on track.  My fitness is my number one New Year resolution – but I find it so difficult.”

James has other plans, too. He said: “I want to get back into my boxing, set my band up and secure a show on TV with myself and Gemma.”

Proud Gemma revealed James has been sober for six months following his recent stint in rehab. She said: “James is doing amazing.  He has to focus on recovery and work on one thing at a time.”

It's love story 3 in Dales

THERE’S not just the smell of manure in the air in Emmerdale – but romance. Stars Mark Jordan and Laura Norton, who play Daz Spencer and Kerry Wyatt, have revealed they are to wed – the ITV soap’s third engagement in as many weeks.

Fiona Wade and former co-star Simon Cotton and Michelle Hardwick and Emmerdale producer Kate Brooks, are also engaged.

Mark, who also starred in ITV drama Heartbeat, tweeted his news on New Year’s Day and added: “2018 had some of the highest highs and lowest lows.”

He faces trial after pleading not guilty to GBH and common assault after allegedly biting a pensioner’s face in a pub brawl in Oldham.
