Joe will be playing geeky Ogie, taking over from The Inbetweeners actor Blake Harrison at London’s Adelphi Theatre.

Speaking about the news, Joe said: “I got to see the show a couple of months back and it’s absolutely fantastic.

“I’m excited to be a part of the cast and to have now landed a role in the West End really has topped off an incredible year for me. I hope I do everyone proud.”

The musical, written by Sara Bareilles and about a waitress who’s stuck in a toxic relationship, launched on the West End in March and is currently set to run until January 2020.

The podcast will be available to listen to on BBC Sounds and will come out twice a week with plenty of original content – including behind the scenes access and exclusive interviews.

Joe will be co-hosting with Kim Winston – who's been working for Strictly for over ten years!

He said: "I am really excited to be continuing my Strictly experience this year by hosting the podcast. The best laughs happen backstage, so I can't wait to share these special moments with the fans at home."

The podcast will be comprised of 30 episodes – aired each Sunday and Thursday.

Plus there will be four bonus episodes about topics such as the Christmas special as well as the 2020 Strictly tour.
