How many episodes are in Yellowstone series 2?

Yellowstone fans in the US have just seen season three come to an end, with the third instalment starting earlier in 2020.

However, viewers in the UK had to wait for the series to make its debut, and the second season is just about to air.

The melodrama series follows John Dutton (played by Kevin Costner) and his family who run the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch.

As well as all the inter-family feuds, the Duttons have to deal with rivals who are looking to use John Dutton’s land for other purposes.

The Duttons try to prevent plans for an expanding town, and they must avoid the threat of the Indian reservation.

The second season, which first hit screens in June 2019, is made up of 10 episodes, and they have all been given individual titles.

The episodes will be airing weekly on Paramount Network, and the titles are as follows:

Episode 1 – A Thundering

Episode 2 – New Beginnings

Episode 3 – The Reek of Desperation

Episode 4 – Only Devils Left

Episode 5 – Touching Your Enemy

Episode 6 – Blood the Boy

Episode 7 – Resurrection Day

Episode 8 – Behind Us Only Grey

Episode 9 – Enemies by Monday

Episode 10 – Sins of the Father

All of the seasons so far have consisted of 10 episodes, and every episode has pulled in millions of viewers.

Without giving too much away, season two sees the ultimate war between the Becks and the Duttons after the Becks take things a step too far.

Paramount Network created a short video summarising the events of season two, and John Dutton is heard reminding viewers about the importance of keeping the ranch in the family.

He says: “It’s the one constant in life, you build something worth having, someones going to try and take it.”

Dutton finds out two enemy groups are working together to build a casino right next to his land, and his children are not ready to defend the ranch.

John is also facing his own health problems which mean he has to slowly step back from his role as the main man at the ranch.

Fans can also watch the official trailer for season two on YouTube, and they will see how the rivalry between the Duttons and the Indian Reservation escalates.

The second season stars Kelly Reilly as Beth Dutton, Wes Bentley as Jamie Dutton, Cole Hauser as Rip Wheeler and Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton.

Fans in the US have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the second season, with one saying: “No chance I’m sleeping tonight. Just finished Yellowstone season two. Kevin Costner, along with everyone else, you are literally killing me slowly.”

Those in the UK who have been following the show are equally as excited to see what happens to John Dutton and his family in the next set of episodes.

The stars of the show talked viewers through the story behind the first episode of season two – called A Thundering.

Grimes said: “When you see Kayce this time, he’s not running away any more. He’s going to face what he needs to face and do what he thinks is the right thing to do, which is to protect the family business so that he can give it to his son.”

Costner added: “[John] is tyring desperately for his family to come back together but it’s so undone, it’s so dysfunctional.

“He can’t herd these people, they are too wild. They are too unto themselves.” One of the biggest family feuds is between John’s daughter Beth and his adopted son Jamie.

Fans will come to learn why the pair hate each other so much, and it seems their bond can never be rebuilt.

Beth has made some intentional decisions to annoy her brother in the first episode of season two, and she gives Jamie a very hard time.

Actress Reilly said of Beth in season two: “She’s working hard, she’s cleaning up, she’s taking on this family business and she is going to protect it.”
