Police scour woodland after woman ‘was pushed to ground and raped’ in early hours of morning

  • Believed the woman was pushed to the ground and raped in area of woodland  

A woman is reported to have been raped in woodland in the early hours of Thursday.

Kent Police are investigating the incident that is reported to have happened on Dartford Heath near Rochester Way, Dartford, Kent. 

It is reported the woman was pushed to the ground and raped on December 5 and police have cordoned off part of Dartford Heath as part of their investigation. 

Kent Police tweeted: ‘Officers investigating a reported rape in Dartford have cordoned off woodland on the heath. An appeal has been issued.’

A spokeswoman for Kent Police said: ‘Police investigating the rape that is reported to have happened on Thursday, 5 December 2019 have cordoned off part of Dartford Heath as part of their investigation. 

‘It is reported that in the early hours of Thursday a woman was in woodland near Rochester Way, Dartford when she was pushed to the ground and raped. 

‘Enquires are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact the witness appeal line 01474 366149.

‘Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555 111 or using the anonymous online form at Crimestoppers-uk.org.’
