AT only two months old, little Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor is already living a life of unimaginable luxury.
His parents Prince Harry, 34, and Meghan Markle, 37, were determined their son would have the most ordinary life possible.
However, today, The Sun on Sunday can reveal the tot sleeps in a £25,000 nursery and is transported in a £1,100 pram.
Royal biographer Ingrid Seward says: “The insistence on normality is never an easy objective for members of the Royal Family to achieve.
“Archie’s parents, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have rich friends who are going to lavish him with expensive gifts.
“He won’t be wearing clothes from Primark, that is for sure.
“Nor will he be going shopping with his mother to the local supermarket for nappies.
“Archie’s nappies will be the latest eco-friendly versions, probably the softest towelling washed by his nanny every night.”
Here, we reveal some of the most expensive indulgences that have been lavished on the seventh-in-line to the throne.
Baby preparations, £568,000
Meghan’s New York baby shower cost £150,000. She also had a £33,000 “babymoon” at posh spa hotel Heckfield Place in Hampshire. Meghan’s maternity wardrobe cost £385,000.
Maternity, from £15,000
Archie was born in London’s swish Portland private hospital, where basic births cost from £15,000. Victoria Beckham, Geri Horner, Patsy Kensit and Zoe Ball all used it.
Designer Vicky Charles used organic vegan paints made of eucalyptus and rosemary oil which cost £40 a pot. The tot’s room also has security cameras, childproof windows, a stereo system, mood lighting and a £25,000 wall-length screen that projects soothing images – as recommended by Meghan’s pal Serena Williams.
The eco-friendly, non-toxic Babyletto Hudson cot is made from sustainable pine and has been screened for more than 10,000 potentially hazardous chemicals.
Steiff teddy bear, £199
Days after Archie was born, a van from Windsor toy store WJ Daniel & Co was seen arriving at Harry and Meghan’s home, Frogmore House. The store remained tight-lipped over what the delivery contained but it sells a huge range of plush toys including a pricey Steiff teddy bear.
Bubble blower, £235
Meghan’s actress pal Priyanka Chopra is believed to have sent a sterling silver Tiffany & Co blower.
Princess Margriet of the Netherlands gave Harry a jacket embroidered with “Daddy” and a onesie for Archie with the Invictus Games logo on it.
