In a TikTok video, the ‘Clueless’ actress, who previously got candid about being nicknamed ‘fatgirl’ by media, gives her middle finger to those who call her fat.
AceShowbiz -“Clueless” star Alicia Silverstone is not going to let body-shamers win over her. In a new TikTok video, the 45-year-old actress gave her middle finger to those who called her “fat.”
The clip, which was uploaded on Thursday, January 27, saw Alicia using a picture of herself, which was described as “a candid fat photo” on Internet, as the background. Set to GAYLE‘s “abcdefu”, the video then featured Alicia appearing and flipping off to the camera.
The “Batman & Robin” star wrote in the caption, “D**n. I think I look good.” Well, she does.
Her fans also made sure she knows that she looks good in the comment section. “DON’T LET THE HATERS GET TO YOU YOURE BEAUTIFUL,” one fan stressed. “If that’s what they call fat, I’m in! Lol you look great!” someone else added.
“Girl you look good! They’re just trying to make money off your haters,” another user commented. “That’s Bc u do look good. Gorgeous to be exact,” someone raved. Another commenter noted, “I love you Alicia, don’t let bad comments affect you, they are just people envious of you,” while some other fans called her “queen.”
Alicia previously talked about dealing with body shaming in the past. Back in April 2020, she opened up about the name-calling she endured after filming 1997’s “Batman & Robin”, in which she starred as Batgirl. She revealed that while promoting the movie, she was nicknamed “Fatgirl” by paparazzi and tabloids. Not stopping there, she was once asked about her bra size during a press conference.
“They would make fun of my body when I was younger,” she recalled. “It was hurtful but I knew they were wrong. I wasn’t confused. I knew that it was not right to make fun of someone’s body shape, that doesn’t seem like the right thing to be doing to a human.”
Alicia added that the film-making process as a whole wasn’t her favorite, elaborating, “There were working circumstances that were less than favorable in terms of how things went down.” She continued, “I didn’t say ‘f**k you’ and come out like a warrior but I would just walk away and go, ‘Okay, I know what that is and I’m done, I’m not going near that again.’ “
