Ant McPartlin's ex-wife Lisa Armstrong reportedly “can’t wait to get married” to new boo James Green after she separated from the TV host in 2018.
Lisa met her first husband in 1994, and after ten years together, he popped the question while holidaying in Dubai.
Unfortunately, Ant and Lisa separated in 2018, later divorcing in 2020 after 23 years of marriage.
Now Lisa reportedly has hopes to tie the knot with her boyfriend James in a “laid back” ceremony compared to the lavish event of Ant and Lisa’s nuptials in 2006.
Ant’s partner in crime, Declan Donelly, served as his best man during the event which took place at a country house in Buckinghamshire.
Speaking to Heat magazine, a friend of Lisa’s said: "Lisa can't wait to get married. They're not engaged yet, but it's only a matter of time.
"James has made Lisa happier than she ever thought she could be. Their wedding will be totally different to her first one."
James, an electrician by trade, has reportedly made the Strictly Come Dancing makeup artist happier than ever.
“Their friends wouldn’t be surprised if there was an exciting announcement coming soon, and they suspect James may have proposed in LA during their romantic break,” an insider told Closer in March.
They continued: “Lisa has said she would love to get married on the beach in Malibu, as it’s one of her favourite places in the world.”
“She’s told James she would love for a beach wedding and he’s hinted at a holiday proposal, which of course makes her very happy and would bring her joy.”
Los Angeles holds a special place in Lisa’s heart because that is where she ultimately rebuilt her life following the divorce.
It’s also the place she found love again.
Ant married his former assistant last year, Anne-Marie Corbett, though the two only began working closely with one another in 2017.
The Saturday Night Takeaway host also wanted a low-key second wedding, with a source telling The Sun that “they just want their nearest and dearest with them.”
The source added: “It will be a simple but beautiful ceremony, without the glare of the spotlight.
“They’re both extremely excited and can’t wait to tie the knot."
Lisa's representatives have been approached for comment.
