Aside from remaking the iconic MTV VMAs kiss with the ‘Vogue’ hitmaker after two decades, the ‘Baby One More Time’ singer ‘danced to the night’ with her celebrity guests, including Paris Hilton, Drew Barrymore, Selena Gomez and Donatella Versace.
AceShowbiz –Britney Spears had a special moment with fellow pop star Madonna at her “fairy-tale” wedding to Sam Asghari. During the star-studded affair, the “Baby One More Time” hitmaker recreated her iconic 2003 MTV VMAs kiss with the “Material Girl” singer.
Britney and Madonna, who famously locked lips during a performance at the award-giving event alongside Christina Aguilera, shared a smooch again on Thursday, June 9. Seemingly taken during the reception, the sweet photo saw the two women leaning in, with Britney in a short red minidress and Madonna rocking a rainbow frock.
In addition to the “Vogue” singer, Selena Gomez, Drew Barrymore, Maria Menounos, Paris Hilton, her husband Carter Reum and mom Kathy Hilton were all in attendance as Britney and Sam said “I do” after more than four years of dating.
Taking to her Instagram account on Friday, June 10, Britney raved over her big day. “Wow !!! Holy holy crap !!! WE DID IT !!! WE GOT MARRIED !!! Gggggeeeeezzzzz !!! It was the most spectacular day !!! I was so nervous all morning but then at 2:00 pm it really hit me … WE’RE GETTING MARRIED !!!” she wrote along with a series of photos from the bash that saw her looking gorgeous in her wedding dress and Sam in his classic black suit.
“I had a panic attack and then got it together … the crew who created our home into literally a dream castle were fantastic !!!” Britney added. “The ceremony was a dream and the party was even better !!! So many incredible people came to our wedding and I’m still in shock !!!”
Britney went on to gush over her celeb guests as writing, “@drewbarrymore my girl crush and @selenagomez who btw is way prettier in person if that’s possible both came !!! I was speechless … I kissed @madonna again and we danced into the night with @ParisHilton.”
The “Oops!…I Did It Again” songstress then thanked Donatella Versace for designing her dress. “Thank you @donatella_versace for designing my dress … I felt so beautiful,” she penned, before adding, “Thank you also to @StephanieGottlieb @CharlotteTilbury and @sofiatilbury for my jewelry and makeup !!! I think we all fell on the dance floor at least 2 times !!! I mean come on … we were all VOGUING !!!” She later concluded her post by professing her love to her now-husband Sam, “@SamAsghari I LOVE YOU !!!”
In a separate post, Britney shared another snapshot from the wedding. In it, the 40-year-old star, who bared her legs, could be seen excitedly moving her hips in front of her 28-year-old husband. “KISS IT !!! YOU HEARD ME !!!!” she captioned the post.
While Britney invited her fellow celebrity pals, missing from the ceremony was Britney’s estranged family, including her ex-conservator father Jamie Spears, mom Lynne Spears and sister Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney also didn’t include her sons with her ex-husband Kevin Federline in the guest list.
A few hours ahead of the wedding ceremony, Britney’s former first husband Jason Alexander broke into her house. Jason was tackled by police after the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department received a call about trespassing. He was then booked for trespassing, vandalism and two other batteries related to his physical altercations with Britney’s security.
Following the incident, Britney’s lawyer Mathew stated that he wants Jason to be “aggressively prosecuted.” As for now, Jason reportedly will be sent to Napa County Jail while Britney and Sam have been granted a restraining order against Jason.
