Britney Spears has made a return to Instagram after she took a short break away from the platform to celebrate her engagement to Sam Ashgari.
Toxic singer Britney, 39, temporarily deleted her account earlier this month but reassured worried fans on Twitter she would be back.
Britney wrote: "Don't worry folks … just taking a little break from social media to celebrate my engagement [ring emoji] [wink emojii]!!!! I'll be back soon" followed by a kiss emoji, rose emoji and sparkle emoji.
Following the break, Britney has made a comeback to the platform as she shared photos of herself in a white top with yellow and orange embroidered flowers and puff sleeves.
In the caption she explained the photos were: "Some shots from my weekend getaway to celebrate my engagement with my … holy s**t … FIANCÉ …"
An excited Britney continued: "I still can’t believe it !!!! I couldn’t stay away from the gram too long so I’m back already" followed by a ring emoji, a laughing emoji and shrugging emoji.
She then ended the message with: "Psss I took these in Palm Springs with clip in extensions".
Fans soon began seculating if it was in fact Britney who had posted the snaps, as they noticed the ends of her hair were dyed red in her engagement photos but are blonde in the comeback images.
One asked: "But britney you have shorter red hair now so how could these be from your engagement getaway?"
While another suggested: "Hmmm something seems off" and a third said: "WHAT IS HAPPENING THESE ARE PHOTOS FROM 2 YEARS AGO".
And a fourth addressed whoever they thought was behind the post as they wrote: "Whoever the person administering Britney's account right now… Britney's hair was red when she got engaged. #FreeBritney".
Meanwhile, a fifth said: "it isnt britney who posts or she is playing us sadly!"
Finally, one puzzled fan asked: "What happened to the red hair? Something fishy is going on".
Later, in true Britney style, the pop princess explained the missing red dye from her hair as she posted a video of herself dancing in her living room.
The clip shows Britney moving her hips and playing an air guitar to Lenny Kravitz's hit Are You Gonna Go My Way.
She then told fans in the caption: "Sorry I like long hair to twirl … so this is me after vacuuming my living room with this bomb [bomb emoji] new glade Hawaiian [flower emoji[ breeze carpet cleaner !!!!!

"Holy hell it’s great …. my living room smells" followed by a string of OK gesture emojis before adding: "so nice to WAKE UP to !!!!!"
Britney added: "his song by Lenny Kravitz is a fun one to dance to … of course my favorite lyric is I WAS BORN !!!! GOD BLESS YOU ALL and don’t forget to stay grateful and say your prayers folks", alongside a praying emoji and sparkle emoji.
Addressing the speculation over her hair, Britney joked: "Pssss my red dye came out in the shower [shower emoji] and it looked like a crime scene".
