Emmerdale stars talk about their affair storyline
Lorraine Chase catapulted to fame as the pivotal Steph Stokes on the much beloved ITV soap Emmerdale.
The actress quickly became a fan favourite, gracing television screens across the country for years before leaving the soap in 2006.
She returned for a very brief stint in 2013 and now, 10 years after her last appearance, the soap star revealed exclusively to Express.co.uk at the We Will Rock You gala night that she’s never seen an episode.
When asked if she still watches the soap, the 72-year-old divulged: “I don’t and I never did actually.
“Actually, on Emmerdale Classic, it’s all my stuff that was on it.”
Lorraine also admitted her choice to exit the show is not very common, adding: “I left it in the end. Most people don’t leave a soap.
“But it’s hard work, (especially) as you get older… I’m 72.”
However, the actress gushed that despite this, she still “loves this stuff”.
Following her sensational time on Emmerdale, Lorraine turned to reality television, placing fourth in the 2011 series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, describing her experience to Digital Spy as “a lot tougher than you think”.

She then appeared on Celebrity Carry on Barging in 2017 and Celebs on the Farm the very next year.
Aside from her four-decade-long television career, Lorraine has also been candid about her health woes over the years.
In 2013 she was diagnosed with a skin carcinoma which had reportedly been growing on her face for four years, according to the Daily Star.
Speaking with the outlet after having the cancerous growth removed, Lorraine declared: “I now call myself ‘Scarface’ but really you can hardly see it.
“There was a big hole where the cancer was cut out but the ophthalmic surgeon who stitched me up did it sympathetically.”
She admitted she was “really worried” about how the operation would affect her ageless looks but joked that it had actually “livened up” the eye it was under.
