Good Morning Britain's Ranvir Singh was forced to stop presenting her segment on the show after receiving a call from her son.

In discussion with her co-hosts Susanna Reid and Adil Ray, the 43 year old explained that she described herself as hardworking, but the pandemic had taught her to pick and choose her projects wisely to spend more time with her nine year old child, Tushaan.

Like clockwork, the television broadcaster was caught off guard by her ringing phone.

"My son is Face Timing while I'm live on air, he's probably like 'what can I have for breakfast'?" she told her amused company.

Susanna hilariously quipped: "Talk about busy women!"

Attempting to mask her worry, Ranvir said: "Sorry, I'm just going to have to answer my son now, just to see everything is ok at home."

Adil reiterated that it was wise for her to "make sure everything was ok" while Susanna asked: "Do you want us to stay with you?"

After refusing Susanna's offer, the show switched to regional news, allowing Ranvir time to take the FaceTime.

Upon arrival back to the studio, Ranvir explained that everything was completely okay.

Ranvir explained: "Yes, everything is fine, I've got to look out for an email authorisation for something that he's doing instead of his spellings this morning."

Good Morning Britain is regularly hit with blunders. Earlier this week, Laura Tobin was forced to miss her Good Morning Britain weather report today when technical issues hit the show.

Luckily, viewers didn't need to miss out on their Tuesday weather as Charlotte Hawkins stood in.

With just seconds' notice to take on the weather report, Charlotte, 46, showed her professionalism by managing to deliver a perfect segment while Laura sorted the issues at her end.
