Love Island star Georgia Townend has become known for her genius weekly Venn diagrams and it’s something she takes very seriously, having set up an Instagram page named TheWeeklyVenn.
The diagrams describe events of the past week in Venn diagram form, as she aims to ‘find commonality in every weeks’ news stories.’
There’s no denying that the past week has been dramatic, and that’s an understatement, after multiple sackings in the Prime Minister’s cabinet before Liz Truss herself resigned.
Poking fun at the chaotic incidents and recapping this week’s entertainment beef in her 42nd weekly Venn, Georgia’s fans reckon this week’s creation could be her ‘best yet.’
The former reality star hadn’t made a Weekly Venn for a while, but told Metro.co.uk that she simply ‘needed to revive them this week given how much has gone on.’
So, let’s unpack the masterpiece, starting with the Conservative Party leader’s resignation.

‘Defeated by an iceberg,’ Georgia writes in between, referencing the iceberg that caused the famous ship to sink in 1912, as well as the Daily Star lettuce that lasted longer on the outlet’s livestream than the PM did in Downing Street.
Moving on, the Titanic overlaps with the Tory Party which in a much more straightforward link, with both being hailed ‘a sinking ship.’
The Tories then overlap with Spain in 1592 as ‘doing anything to cling onto power,’ which is when The Battle of Flores occurred during the Anglo-Spanish War.
Now, the next segment is where things really get spicy, as you might be wondering how Spain 1592 could possibly share a commonality with Don’t Worry Darling director Olivia Wilde, right?
Well, see: their beef with Florence… in Spain’s case, Italy, in Olivia’s, the actress Florence Pugh, with whom she reportedly had a feud while filming the thriller movie in 2020.
So, who is Olivia’s link? Well, thanks to her boyfriend, Harry Styles, it’s James Corden, who made headlines of his own recently after being banned from a restaurant.

If you’re anything like us, you’ll be wanting an insight into how these works of art are created, and Georgia told us that some can come quite naturally, while others require a bit more digging.
‘In terms of process, throughout the week, I keep a tally of all the major news stories, anything that’s been trending on Twitter, or hot topics of contention.’
She will ‘brainstorm’ any ‘key themes around each story or person’ that she wants to include and see if there are any ‘obvious correlations’ between them.
Initially, she thought about including David Blaine’s 44-day stay in his Perspex box as a link between the time Truss spent as PM, or a crossover with Steven Gerrard, who lost his manager position.
‘But sometimes you can’t link all stories together so some have to be swapped out,’ she admits.
‘Some weeks are gold, and you have a ton of material to work with, and then some weeks are really slow, and it’s really hard to pull one together. Some research obviously has to be conducted around certain areas, to create an obvious enough link.’
Twitter users are obsessed with her handiwork, branding it ‘impeccable.’
‘Nah Georgia is too clever,’ one person laughed at the most recent Venn.
‘The production of these is a real talent,’ praised another.
Honestly, these Venn diagrams are a real work of art and with a new race to Number 10 set to begin following Truss’ resignation, we can’t wait for the next one…
