Metallica are set to perform during the Wednesday, March 3 episode of “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.”
The iconic rock band have previously appeared on the talk show. Most recently, Metallica performed “Enter Sandman” on “A Late Show: Super Bowl Edition,” a live special edition of “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” on February 7. In May 2017, the band performed the song “Now That We’re Dead” on the show.
Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” was recently used in the Super Bowl commercial for Ford’s all-new 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor, a desert-racing inspired version of the auto giant’s F-150 pickup.
“Enter Sandman” is the opening track and lead single from Metallica’s self-titled fifth album, released in 1991. Vocalist and rhythm guitarist James Hetfield wrote the lyrics.
The single reached No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 and achieved platinum certification.
