Lindsay Lohan shocked fans earlier this afternoon after revealing her “excitement” at welcoming her first child with husband Bader Shammas. Now mum Dina has broken her silence on the “thrilling news” and has detailed how she’s feeling about becoming a grandmother.
She spoke years ago about how she “couldn’t wait” for her children to have their own kids, and now Dina’s 26-year-old daughter is one step closer.
Announcing the news on Instagram on Tuesday afternoon, Lindsay shared a sweep snap of a baby onesie, sporting the words “Coming Soon”.
The Teenage Paparazzo star declared in her post’s caption that she and Bader were “blessed and excited” at their exciting milestone.
Echoing daughter Linday’s comments, Dina tells Express.co.uk that she is also feeling “beyond blessed” following the announcement.

Dina revealed: “I am over the moon. I am beyond blessed and grateful.”
She proceeded to thank everyone, including Linday’s famous friends and loyal fans, for their well-wishes and kind words directed at her family.
It was all the way back in 2016 that she told TMZ about feeling “anxious for grandchildren” – and now her dreams have finally come true.
Speaking to the same outlet, Lindsay revealed she was “very excited” about their “new family member”.
“We are very excited for our new family member to arrive and we are looking forward to this next chapter of our lives,” she told them.
Congratulatory messages have poured in from fans and world-renowned stars alike.
New mum Paris Hilton sent her well-wishes, commenting: “Congratulations love! So happy for you. Welcome to the Mommy Club!”
Victorious star Elizabeth Gillies wrote: “Congratulations!!!” while fashion designer Donatella Versace sent a string of sparkling star emojis.

The Mean Girls star was last spotted in early February at the Christian Siriano Fall/Winter 2023 show at New York Fashion Week.
Posing alongside other Hollywood and fashion icons, the star donned a loose cooper shirt and trousers, as well as a cape draped over her shoulders.
Lindsay and the financier Shammas married in April last year but were able to keep their union private until July.
Announcing the news at the time with a sweet selfie, the actress wrote in a loving caption: “I am stunned that you are my husband.”
While it hasn’t been established how the actress met the banking executive, they both have very strong ties to the nation of Dubai, where Lindsay has been living since 2014.
She’s been in the spotlight since she was a child and Lindsay has been able to keep much of her relationship out of the public eye.
It was first rumoured that Lindsay and Bader were romantically entwined in February 2020.
At the time, Lindsay posted a since-deleted group photo on Instagram, according to People, captioned: “Lovely night with my sister and my boyfriend Bader.”
