Thankfully Meredith Marks and her friends are OK — but this was very nearly a whole different kind of story!
On Thursday, the RHOSLC star shared a post with her followers on Instagram addressing the scary collision she was in with her bestie Kathy Prounis and her driver Brent. In the first pic of the carousel, there’s a selfie of Meredith and Kathy buckled up in a car with some shopping bags behind them. In the caption, the 51-year-old wrote:
“This photo was taken moments before our driver, Brent, was fortunately able to maneuver the car into the snowbank, as we were headed to crash off of a cliff in Utah. “
Sorry, headed WHERE?! So scary!! Thankfully the driver was able to crash them into the snow instead of sending them hurdling down a mountain! Phew!
With the second slide in the post showing the GMC Denali tucked deeply into a snow bank, Meredith went on to express how the accident could have been “far more horrible”:
“This is a reminder to always be grateful and count your blessings. My dear friend and I were in a car accident that could have been far more horrible.”
It definitely could have been a lot worse! According to the Department of Transportation, annually over 1,300 people are killed and over 116,800 people are injured in vehicle crashes in the snow and ice. It’s so easy to lose control of your car on the slick ice and slush — even if you’re being as careful as you can!
Luckily, she and her friends are doing okay after the crash:
“Kathy, Brent, and I are all okay and safe. Please be careful on the roads, especially during this season with the most snow in Park City that we have seen in decades.”
The Bravolebrity finished up her post with an important reminder to not sweat the small stuff:
“Many times in life we dwell on things of little importance rather than being grateful for the positive things that we have. I am beyond happy to be alive and well.”
Everything can change in an instant, it’s so important we remember this advice and treasure every moment we have!

We’re so glad to hear everyone was okay and were able to get to safety. We can’t imagine the fear they all felt in that moment…
