They may be close pals today, but that wasn't always the case for Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan, as she revealed she once punched him in the face.

The mum-of-three, who celebrated her 38th wedding anniversary with husband Ozzy, has been friends with the former Good Morning Britain presenter for 20 years but they haven't always seen eye-to-eye.

The pair previously got into a huge argument which led to Sharon, 68, losing her cool and punching Piers, 56, in the mouth.

She told You magazine: "We argue like hell; we had a punch-up once. I slapped him in Mr Chow's [Chinese restaurant in Knightsbridge]."

She explained: "Then I go home and Ozzy goes, 'Call him and apologise. Do it right now'.

"That was years ago. He'll be huffy with me for a day and then he talks to me. We don't agree about a lot of things."

Sharon was previously criticised for defending Piers and made the decision to quit US chat show The Talk after getting into an argument with co-host Sheryl Underwood.
