Stephanie Davis has revealed being stalked by Alex Boston was like "living in a horror film".
Alex, 43, pleaded guilty to an offence of stalking involving serious alarm and distress between 2020 and 2021 at Knowsley Magistrates Court in November 2021, and has since been jailed for 28 weeks and issued with an indefinite restraining order on Friday 28 January.
Now, the former Hollyoaks actress has appeared on ITV's This Morning alongside former celebrity bodyguard Simon Newton – whose worked for the likes of Bella Hadid – to speak about what she went through with hosts Phillip Schofield and Rochelle Humes.
Stephanie explained that the stalking started when she began noticing daffodils turn up on her front door. At the time, she didn't think "anything of it" but it carried on and began escalating to gifts for both herself and her five year old son Caben.
The TV personality said she was "really scared as a single mum at home alone" and had to move back in with her mum, disrupting her routine with her son, to feel a bit safer.
Describing how she constantly looked over her shoulder, Phillip then asked her: "What does it do to your head?" to which she responded: "Oh, terrible, terrible. I think it definitely has a big impact on my mental health, I struggle with my mental health anyway, but when that happened my anxiety was through the roof."
She continued: "I was constantly having panic attacks, I couldn't sleep. Every time I heard a noise I was literally up, panicking, I kept checking on. Caben.
"If he was in a different room to me, in my mum's house, I kept going in panicking, imagining that he wasn't there, going through those motions. Honestly, it was horrendous."
Stephanie went on to share how clever her stalker was when delivering letters as he always had gloves on, making it difficult to get a finger print.
"So the police were taking it to check all the letters in forensics and there was no fingerprints on them because he wore gloves when he'd wrote them," she explained.

She continued: "He had a blocker to the cameras on the street so it had cut out when he'd walked past so we couldn't even get a clear image. It was so – I felt like I was in The Bodyguard – it was literally like… It was living in a horror film."
Now, however, Stephanie feels relieved as she slept for the first time "in a long time" after her stalker was sentenced to 28 weeks in prison.
"I'm glad that justice has been done," she told the hosts.

At court on Friday last week, CPS's Ronan Molloy said Stephanie's stalker "claimed to be in a relationship with Ms Davis".
He added: "This was a total fiction, but the deception drove him further and further into criminality.
"Whatever he thought he was doing, he has almost ruined the life of the woman he claimed to be in love with."
Following his imprisonment, Stephanie was seen smiling as she stepped out with her new boyfriend Joseph Mckalroy.
The pair looked loved-up as they walked down the street hand in hand, clearly enjoying each other's company.
