A MUM who chose a very unique name for her son has been blasted by trolls who say he sounds more like an apartment complex than a little boy.
Brooke Hamilton, from Canada, went viral on TikTok as she shared some of the names she'd considered for her now five-year-old son – such as Jett Black, Ledger Hayz and Rugged Cruz – before revealing his actual name.
"If I had of known my baby names were going to go viral, I would have posted them long ago! Meet my son…" she captioned the video.
In the clip, she wrote, "Everyone, meet West!"
However, the fact she'd opted for the name West Woods for her son attracted backlash from TikTok users
"West Woods……that's not a human name. like apartment or school complex. it's a child!" someone wrote.

"Worst of the lot. Why?" another person commented.
"West is a direction, dear. It's not a name," a third person added, alongside the laughing crying emojis.
"Tragic for the child though!" someone else agreed.
A year on, Brook is still receiving hate from trolls who claim her West's name is going to get him bullied.
In a recent video, she joked: "Me on my way to change my five-year-old's name after user100732823 said he would get bullied for it."
Others were more complimentary about the name, with one writing: "West Woods was my favourite of all the ones you listed."

"West Woods is what I thought suited him!" another person commented.
"Love it!! such a cool name.. we are looking at Trafford or Carano for a boy," someone else wrote.
And West isn't the only uniquely named child in Brooke's family.
She's also mum to a daughter – called Zuri Bloom.
"Her personality truly fits this name 100 per cent," Brooke wrote in the name reveal video for her little girl on TikTok.
The other names she'd considered for her little girl included Golden Wilde, Taytum True and Ozzi James.
